Boundless Borders: USA & Mexico

We'll take you to the places you'd rather be. Off the beaten track or amongst the urban jungle, these destinations share the ethos behind our brand. Pack your bags and enjoy the journey. For this leg join good friend of the brand Charlie Soden, as he journeys to the US and Mexico with his girlfriend (now fiancée) Helenah.

Q: Where have you been so far?
Hawaii, New York, Miami, Chicago, Mexico City, Tulum, Dallas

Q: What was your favourite spot?
Each spot had its perks but we both really enjoyed Hawaii and Tulum.

Q: Also we heard you guy got engaged! Congratulations! Tell us how it all unfloded.
Long story short, Helenah loves NYC so I knew I wanted to do it there. But nowhere felt right, until we went to a Bar in Manhattan called Nubulez. We ordered drinks, we toasted and that’s when I said “to the rest of our lives together” and had the ring in my hand.

Q: Was it smooth sailing or run into a couple mishaps?
To be honest, we had all smooth sailing. The only mishap was getting to NY in a cold snap, not being able to get into our sublet and the owner was in Australia (2am EST). After 5 hours post a 10 hour flight from Hawaii, stuck in a bagel store we got in only to find it hadn't been cleaned in months. We stayed one night and then booked ourselves a nice hotel in Williamsburg and never looked back.

Q: What kit did you pack? How do you keep your style on point while on the road? Any tips?
H - Definitely taking neutral toned clothes that you can dress up differently with some minor accessories.
C - I stocked my suitcase with Zanerobe clothes that looked good when you layer them but also could be worn on their own.

Q: Best food you ate?
H - BURRITO AMOR - Tulum!!! We went there multiple times.
C - Hard to choose but I'd have to narrow it down to Leon’s bagels or Moonburger both located in Brooklyn.

Q: How do you keep your style on point while on the road? Any tips?
H - Accessories!!
C - Trust your gut, if you think it looks good, it probably does.

Q: What’s your go-to travel playlist or podcast to keep you entertained during long journeys?
We both absolutely love Bobbnsenga.

Q: Beach bum or city explorer? Which was the split or this trip?
1000000% coupla beach bums. But the trip was a good mixture of both.

Q: Any secret travel habits that you've picked up?
Always travel with an eye mask, a good book, magnesium and noise cancelling headphones.

Q: How important is to travel with good people?
This is EVERYTHING! We obviously love spending time with each other but also met some cool as people along the way that we will definitely link up with.

Q: Any spots that exceeded your expectations?
Hawaii was just a stop over and we fell in LOVE! The scenery was so amazing and just the entire vibe. We also loved Dallas, it was super cool and the food and thrift shopping was amazing!

Q: Where are you heading next?
Europe or LA, depends where our travel buddies are.
