ABOUT CHANCE

An untrained artist who found art in his 40s as a form of hand therapy to treat one of the side effects of his quadriplegia. Chance uses a dabbing technique with acrylic paints on canvas. Initially he used his creative abilities in designing fashion and accessories but all this came to an end 13 years ago when he had a life changing accident which saw him paralyzed from the neck down. It has been a long journey of rehabilitation since then and Twiggie, Chance’s 15-year-old daughter, has been a big inspiration to him battling his way back to where he is today.

WHAT THE DUCK?

Chance was a big contributor to the early success of ZANEROBE and when he surprised us with his hidden artistic talents, we knew we had to showcase his work. The What The Duck? exhibition and charity art auction will raise necessary funds to continue to promote open conversations about mental health and encourage everyone to seek help when needed. Half the auction proceeds will support R U OK?, an organisation empowering everyone to connect with people around them who may be struggling in life. And the other half will support Chance as a spokesperson for mental health, his time and travel engaging with people from all walks of life dealing with enormous challenges.
